Report Says Manufacturing USA ‘Is a Valid Approach’

A study by the accounting and business consulting firm Deloitte has endorsed the approach that Manufacturing USA is taking to support manufacturing innovation in America. Manufacturing USA commissioned the report to recommend ways to capitalize on the program’s successes and improve its effectiveness.

The report said the public-private institutes that comprise Manufacturing USA are attracting significant participation from industry, academia and government. Those partners are making substantial, collaborative investments in R&D and commercialization.

Furthermore, the report said, “Institutes are laying the groundwork for building the American manufacturing workforce’s skills to meet the needs of 21st century employers.”
