September-October 2015 Workforce Update Tennessee

Employers in Tennessee posted 8,599 job ads posted during September and October 2015, a 39% increase over the 5,248 ads seen at the beginning of the year. The trend is positive even while online job postings for lightweighting occupations in Tennessee decreased slightly, 12%, from 9,972 in July and August 2015 to 8,599 in September and October. Despite the decrease, the general trend of increased demand for lightweighting skills and knowledge in advanced manufacturing.
