Noel Mack Promoted to LIFT Chief Technology Officer
We are proud to announce that Noel Mack has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer at LIFT, effective as of the start of the year.
Since joining LIFT as the Vice President of Technology in October 2020, Noel has been directing the technology team’s programmatic activities, refining our technology pillars, and ensuring they are aligned with the priorities of the Department of Defense.
Noel takes over the CTO role from Hadrian Rori, who is retiring, but will continue to support LIFT on a part-time basis as a Senior Technical Advisor.
Mack has more than 35 years of experience in both engineering and design, having previously served as a product line executive of strategic technologies at American Axle and Manufacturing Inc. and as director and business unit lead of driveline and transmission systems at Ricardo’s Detroit technical center. He’s also held other leadership positions at Magna International Inc. and Magna Steyr.
He began his career in the aerospace and defense industries at Denel Aviation. He served as the principal engineer, stress, and design, and as manager of CAD and specialist CAE engineer for combat vehicles, tanks, and heavy and light armored vehicles at Denel Land Systems/Ermetek.
Mack holds six U.S. patents and is a graduate of the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with aeronautical specialization, and the University of Detroit Mercy, where he earned a Master of Engineering Management degree and a graduate certificate in business turnaround management.
