LIFT Team Building Face Shields For First Responders

While the LIFT facility is substantially closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, the team has been hard at work doing what it can to support local first responders and health care providers.

Along with donating the existing personal protective equipment (PPE) LIFT had at its facility, the LIFT technical team has been 3D printing face shields, because the small, local clinics have been in need of eye protection.

LIFT is putting together 100 face shields for donation to first responders.

The shields took about 45 minutes to complete once the STL file was loaded into the 3D printer. Once the bands were printed, the plastic shields were attached with hole punches.
