LIFT hires director of government programs

Detroit-based LIFT – Lightweight Innovations For Tomorrow, a U.S. Department of Defense-sponsored national manufacturing innovation institute, has hired Peter Czech as director of government programs.

Czech previously spent more than nine years as a professor of program management and course manager of the Office of the Secretary of Defense Staff Specialist course at the Defense Acquisition University’s Defense Systems Management College. Before that he spent 30 years at Chrysler Corporation in several roles, including program management for multiple new vehicle programs and supervisor of the Chrysler Proving Grounds in Chelsea, Mich.
