LIFT is excited to HOST Accelerating ICME: Enabling Materials Design, Deployment, & Performance

February 18th 2026 | 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Join us at LIFT for Accelerating ICME: Enabling Materials Design, Deployment, & Performance, a premier gathering of leaders advancing Integrated Computational Materials Engineering. This event will showcase cutting-edge insights from industry innovators including Thermo-Calc, Siemens, QuesTek Innovations, FLOW-3D, and Lockheed Martin, as they share real-world applications accelerating materials development and transforming industrial performance. Attendees will gain a front-row view into the tools, technologies, and strategies shaping the future of materials design—while connecting directly with the experts driving the next wave of manufacturing innovation. Don’t miss the opportunity to engage, learn, and collaborate at the forefront of ICME.

Our members and Defense Industrial Base want to hear your perspective.

Key learning objectives include:

  • Understand how ICME tools and workflows are shortening materials development cycles.
  • Explore real-world case studies demonstrating ICME-enabled performance improvements.
  • Learn best practices for integrating ICME into R&D, engineering, and production environments.
  • Discover emerging trends and capabilities across leading ICME platforms and simulation tools.
  • Identify collaborative opportunities to advance materials innovation within your organization.

Join us on February 19th the day after ICME in Action for a FLOW-3D Workshop

Join FLOW-3D AM experts for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn to model, analyze, and optimize melt-pool behavior in metal additive manufacturing. This practical session will equip you with the skills to set up predictive simulations that can guide your process development and reduce costly trial-and-error on the machine. All attendees receive a 30-day FLOW-3D AM license to continue exploring the software after the workshop. What You’ll Learn:

  • Set up and run melt-pool simulations from scratch, with hands-on guidance through the complete workflow
  • Understand the key physics driving metal AM: melting dynamics, keyhole formation, spatter generation, and solidification behavior
  • Optimize process parameters to control melt-pool geometry and minimize defects using thermal and porosity predictions
  • Apply simulation insights to front-load process development and make informed decisions before physical builds
