This installment of the Bringing Mind To Market series will be held on Tuesday, November 13 at 1 p.m. ET and feature Operation Next: Preparing Those Who Have Served Our Country For Their “Next Mission” – Civilian Careers In Advanced Manufacturing. Launched last year, Operation Next is a new national model that provides high-level technical training to separating soldiers while they are still on active duty, moving them from deployment to career in the shortest time possible and connecting them to some of the more than half-million open jobs in precision machining and industrial technology.

LIFT Technology Seminar
The first day-long LIFT Lightweighting Technology Seminar will be held on Monday, November 19, 2018 at LIFT’s Headquarters, located at 1400 Rosa Parks Blvd. in Detroit. The seminar will also be available via webinar. LIFT experts will highlight projects completed or underway in its Melt Processing focus area. Along with presenting the LIFT Melt Processing Roadmap, projects to be presented include:

  • Developing and Deploying Thin-Wall Ductile Iron Castings for High-Volume Production
  • Thin-Wall Aluminum Die Casting Development
  • Manufacturing of Nanoparticle Reinforced Aluminum Matrix Composites
  • Inorganically Bonded Sand Molds Printed at Line Speed.
